2018 Darc Award Nominations

Andrew W Rae’s well-received Vista of Light installation has secured him his third, in as many years, Darc Award nomination. The project was shortlisted in the Light Art / Low Budget Category.

Vista of Light is an audio visual installation featuring 8,000+ LED spheres and 1200m of LED Lighting spread across Birmingham Botanical Gardens and their listed Victorian aviary.

Synchronised to a soundtrack, this 2500m² light show was the finale spectacle at the garden’s 2017 winter light trail.

Ithaca also secured a nomination in the very same category for their ‘Duet’ installation as part of Kew Gardens’ Winter Trail.
