THE NATION’S FAVOURITE TV
Andrew W Rae worked with Ithaca and ad agency Anomaly to create a lighthearted and energetic audio visual remix of classic TV themes from shows available on Freeview.
Working with such a varied and contrasting range of themes, the challenge was to create a seamless mix which kept a strong musical narrative from start to finish. Time-stretching, tempo and pitch-shifting plus automated audio filters were just some of the effects used to acheive the end result.
The visuals were designed to complement the audio with an equally lighthearted, fast-paced split-screen representation of the music remix, both seamlessly synced to tie the whole thing together.
To coincide with the launch of the ad, Andrew W Rae was also asked to put together a short online teaser competition version of the ad which asked viewers to try and name all of the TV themes featured in the remix.
